About

Pocket Questlog started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other screenshots of games that surprised them. At some point we got tired of recommendations getting lost, so we built a place to keep them. That place turned into this site.

We are a small editorial team, not a marketing outlet. Everyone here installs the game, plays past the tutorial, and usually sticks around long enough to see whether the progression holds up after the first few hours. That matters more than a flashy opening scene.

Games get picked for coverage based on one thing: did someone on the team keep playing voluntarily. We cover big genres and small weird ones. If a game only looks good in trailers, we tend to say so plainly.

We do not take payment to publish a review, and we do not hand out high ratings as favors. When something disappoints us, that ends up in the text too.

Marek Holub — Marek has been playing handheld and mobile games since the flip-phone era and now coordinates the review schedule. He has a soft spot for slow-burn RPGs and badly made racing games.
